Kate Stone

Recovering from injury or surgery can be frustrating. The original purpose of Pilates was to accelerate the recovery process. Over time, many other benefits were realised; from fitness, injury prevention, neuromuscular coordination, to flexibility, balance and total body awareness.


My background as a performer in musical theatre in the West End, and now as a mother of three small children suffering with diastasis recti, (a result of my pregnancies), has allowed me to experience Pilates from an advanced level back to beginner. My personal limitations with my body has given me a deeper appreciation for how remarkable the Pilates method really is at strengthening the body, from the inside out. Only through awareness of the body and its movement, can we begin to create change.


I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, therefore I have trained with a range of Pilates institutes and completed instructor training with both Stott Pilates (full studio certification) and Body Control Pilates and continue furthering my professional development in this field.


Stone Pilates is a boutique Pilates studio with state of the art equipment. At Stone Pilates we understand the importance of building the right relationships in order to achieve results. Our promise to you, is to make your Pilates experience both safe, fun and rewarding.
