"I took Pilates with Kate for 18 months; both individually and in a group, with the aim of defining my muscles and losing a bit of weight. I had never done Pilates before, but Kate clearly explained the exercises and gave comprehensive demonstrations.
She taught me how to control different muscles to tone certain parts of my body and ensured I was using the correct techniques to avoid injuring myself. During the group classes, Kate would keep a close eye on everyone to make sure they were receiving maximum benefit from the exercise, and would work us all at a pace she knew we could manage. Although her classes were tough, I felt myself getting stronger and fitter and could visibly see a difference in my body; my muscles had tone and definition after only a few weeks.
Kate is an excellent judge of a person’s strength, she is patient and listens to your concerns, she is never patronising, and can tailor her exercises to focus on increasing your strength where you need it the most – even if you have a prior injury. She uses a variety of equipment, so her classes were always fun and different. The thing I miss the most about Kate’s classes, is the motivation she gave me (and all of us in the group) to keep healthy, stay fit and work hard.
Kate is a beautiful, kind person who will always have your best interests at heart, and I sincerely recommend her services as a Pilates trainer."
